Hm, that sounds like this could be a magnet for dust to cling to the elector-magnitised sensor (when the picture is taken). Interesting though, I'll have a go.

No more than changing your lens, or using a non-sealed lens.  Just clean it.  I always have a rocket blower in my bag.
