Thanks.. I now use a Leica M9 35mm rangefinder camera as my main camera. You can do freelensing with DSLRs / SLRs and any camera with liveview through the lens focusing but you cannot do this with rangefinder focusing.

I still have my D800 and other cameras so can still do it if get the urge. I tend to go through phases to keep myself interested so always learning something new to keep moving forward.

You can still get creative with a rangefinder to make photos look edited before they leave the camera. Here is an unedited shot from a shoot today.

It's more important how an image looks as a thumbnail than how it looks at 100%.
