Convincing non-fake battery seller selling fake anyway?

I need a backup battery, so I thought to check for sellers in my own country selling "genuine" or "oem" and found this:

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/NEW-OEM-NP-FW50-battery-for-sony-NEX-5-NEX-3-NEX3-NEX5-/141002487372?pt=Batteries_Chargers&hash=item20d467364c&_uhb=1

"Fully Decoded Sony NP-FW50 Battery"

"And watch out for "Original" OEM batteries from sellers in China or Hong Kong - they are fakes, and ebay regularly kicks them off. A Canon camcorder battery that costs $150 in the US does not cost $25 in China. They are fakes - right down to the package & label on the battery."

That sounds all nice and everything, but the battery has "Made in China" written on it. So, this is not one of those cheap Chinese batteries yet it's made in China anyway?

Does anyone know if these so called "UpStart" batteries are for real? I'm thinking it's one of the countless of scams. But this possible scammer is telling us they're not scammers, but that all the other scammers are scammers. Perhaps this is not a scam?
