I've spent far more $$$ on my photo equipment than on video games.

I've enjoyed the equipment, shooting and print making etc for 40 years but....

I've been playing Tiger Woods Masters 12 on my Wii for about 3 year using both the balance board and the SKLZ SIMSTIX. I play 2-3 rounds every other day. Not only have I lost weight, but my muscle tone has improved dramatically. It's not the same as playing golf -- but it's a great game in and of itself.

A perfect day for me includes 2 hours of Tiger Woods Wii and 2-3 hours of PS (last summer's captures). Then a nap, a good dinner and an episode of House of Cards (Netflix via my Wii console).

I've also enjoyed Wii's John McEnroe Grand Slam Tennis -- but I'm getting a bit too old for that kind of work-out.

Never would have thought that I'd get so much out of playing a video game -- a great way to exercise and learn an appreciation of golf.

I don't think either cameras or video games are wise investments for 'the long term'.
