Well, Alohaman didn't actually quote Godwin's Law, so his statement was perfectly correct.

But even if he had, Godwin's Law certainly doesn't say "nothing about winning or losing an argument". That proposition is a corollary of the Law, i.e. it naturally follows from it. Your own link says that too.

Speaking as a fellow-pedant, It's legitimate to quote it as Godwin's Law.
