I've had a Sony SLT-A99 with Sigma 150-500mm + 1.4TC on it. Supported it fine, and far more comfortable than a neck strap, but I felt like a total dork.

My wife calls it my "urban camera assault vest" and refuses to walk close enough that we look like we're together if I have it on.

LOL, i wouldn't blame your wife for feeling so i received mine a few days ago and after figuring out how everything goes on, then i attached my canon 1Dx and 24-70 f2.8II. wow, that is a lot of weight, but not too bad, it beats hanging that thing off of my neck. i do have the BR strap but never felt comfi with it. i will truly test this vest when i spend a whole day in the neighborhood pond real soon with my 1DX and 300 f2.8II attached on it, that will be the real test but cottoncrrier has thought of every possibility of dropping your camera and has installed all of necessary safety features. thank you cottoncrrier

cheerz.
