They give me ridiculously better image quality than I can get with a Bayer sensor camera. 15MP of Bayer looks like crap next to 15MP of Foveon.

If you're really getting 'crap', then the Bayer camera is defective or you're doing something wrong.

Next to the quality of the 15MP Foveon, yes, it is crap.

Which camera is it, and how did you compare them? Were the images of the same subject taken with the same settings and in the same conditions with the same post processing? If not, it's not a valid comparison (and it almost never is).

You obviously have no experience with a current Foveon sensor camera.

Most people don't have experience with Foveon sensor cameras because Foveon sensor cameras aren't valued by most photographers.

Due mostly to ignorance.

Why would bayer sensor camera photographers use something that is crap?

Most Bayer sensor camera photographers have no idea what a Bayer sensor is.

Do you think everyone that uses a bayer sensor camera is an idiot and Foveon camera users are geniuses?

No, I just know that most are ignorant when it comes to Foveon sensors and Sigma cameras.

Do sigma cameras only do one thing well and the rest it falls on its face?

When I shot film cameras I shot between ISO 100-400, just like I do with my Sigmas. The AF is accurate, write speeds are more than fast enough for me, ergonomics are excellent, and the cameras are really small and very well built. No, it doesn't fall on its face, at all.

if so, who would want that kind of terrible camera?

Anyone who values the ultimate image quality.
