Any camera can take good pictures in bright sun. It's like bragging that your car is the fastest downhill.

It's clear you dont know anything about Foveon sensors.

Not only him but 14 persons (likes) too

So does one of you Sigma evangelists want to prove me wrong with some side by side images showing how much better the Foveon sensor is?

I have looked and I can't find anything that a Bayer sensor can't come close to. It looks to me like you get slightly better IQ at base ISO in exchange for compromising almost every other aspect of the camera.

Why not just go check out the samples on Sigmas site?

Can a 15MP Bayer sensor camera deliver this kind of detail? Of course not. Neither can a 24MP Bayer sensor camera.

Lovely images for sure, but I'm not seeing anything that justifies some of the hyperbole from this thread:

"No Bayer sensor camera can even begin to come close to the image quality that a Foveon sensor can produce for equal amounts of pixel dimensions and sensor surface area."

"They give me ridiculously better image quality than I can get with a Bayer sensor camera. 15MP of Bayer looks like crap next to 15MP of Foveon."
