Sony Canada customer service story (bad one)

I tried to buy extended warranty for A77 (still with valid warranty).

Sony Canada says price of the warranty depends on how much I paid for the camera.
So just because my A77 is 2 years old, I have to pay more for extended warranty than someone who buys the same camera today (as it was more expensive 2 years ago).

Really?
Is this how Sony is thanking me for buying their products when they are new?

There is more:

I bought a kit, there is one price on the receipt.
Apparently I can't buy extended warranty for the whole kit.
I have to buy separate warranties for body and lens, hence their request to provide separate prices for body and lens.
I heard before about horrible customer support but this is new low (IMHO).

I am out of my wits. It is really hard to like Sony.
