Is there a reason Tamron and Sigma dont adapt their zooms to E mount?

there is a paucity of quality lenses for e mount, and certainly no good 2.8 zoom.  both sigma and tamron make stabilized 2.8 zoom lenses for under 500 for aps-c mount.  Is there something very complicated about flange distances, and mount that makes creating these lenses in E-mount so difficult?  I would certainly drop the 500 to pick up the optically excellent sigma 17-50 2.8 OS lens, or the tamron  VC or non VC version.

Any thoughts?
