Specs mean nothing. Images mean everything. We don't frame specs and hang them up on our walls.

When buying a lens, what do we do? Look at someone's pictures taken with a number of lenses and make a selection based on what we see?

The likes of Robin Wong can make impressive photos with more or less any equipment. Taking this approach means we should just get the most discounted equipment at the time of buying, which incidentally is what I do I'm not too sure if the majority of this forum would agree with me on this one though.
