Yes, I agree, but when I researched my next camera I was unaware that this was even possible!

I also have some limitations when shooting tethered because the Liveview in my 450D has some bugs (e.g. when using manual lenses exposure metering and histogram are way off). But it is soo much more comfortable than using the optical viewfinder or even a tilt screen ...

I'm still pleased I chose the 70D as the articulated screen is very useful in other circumstances, although I'm never forgo a proper view finder - eg Canon M.

Definitely, when working outside I really want a tilt screen. It's one of the first features I'm looking at for my next camera.
