Which 50mm prime lens for my K5IIs ? - Too confused to choose one
10 months ago

Hi,

I have been reading a lot of reviews to get one good prime for portrait snaps. I have listed out the following 50mm primes to choose one from for the portrait and general low-light photography.

1. Pentax FA 50mm f1.4 - Overall good but soft at big aperture and some color fringe issues

2. Sigma 50mm f1.4 - Very good and sharp images at all apertures with almost silent AFbut too bulky to carry around

3. Pentax DA 50mm f1.8 - DxO suggests this lens. But have concerns on plastic mount

Any suggestions will be helpful in deciding the right one. As each one has its own pros and cons, I am confused too much to choose one.
