Which combo for nicer bokeh?
Feb 16, 2014

Hi, I'm new here I'm currently using D7000 with 18-200mm 3.5-5.6 VR lens. Recently I've been thinking to upgrade to D600, mainly because better low light performance. I shoot all kinds of stuff, kids, portraits, landscape. When I shoot outdoor portraits I back off and use my lens at 200mm and f/5.6 aperture, which gives me nice, quite shallow DOF. This makes my combo a good allrounder.

My question is, which combo will make shallower DOF:

- 18-200mm f3.5-5.6 @ 200mm f/5.6 on a DX body or

- 24-120mm f4 @ 120mm f/4 on a FX body?
