The main advantage of the monolight wouldn't be raw power, but the pilot light. Less guesswork about highlights, shadows and reflections, for precision work thats a huge time saver.

Also at least here remote controllable speedlights cost about the same as an RX one, factor in the costs for good attachments&support, and even the completely manual flashguns don't offer much saving.
