Roller coaster decision about X-T1
Feb 15, 2014

I have ridden a roller coaster of emotions regarding the X-T1 for the past couple of weeks or more. I pre-ordered one, then cancelled the order, but can't get it out of my mind.

I have now read the owners manual and cannot find one feature that may be a deal breaker for me. Can the AF function be isolated from the exposure release button? I have shot with Canon cameras for a very long time and every one that I have used for the past several years has had the capability of setting up a button on the back of the camera to start AF. For those not accustomed to working this way, it may seem trivial, or even awkward. But once you learn to shoot with this configuration it is not something you want to give up.

Someone please tell me I overlooked it, or it is just not described in the book.
