I was sure I was going to go the m4/3 route, probably a GM1, but I found a good deal on an X-E1 body and saw that the 27mm is only $250 new...so I pulled the trigger and bought the body.

Even if I don't end up committing to Fuji as my main system, at the very least I now have a reasonable looking camera with a pancake that won't single me out as "the photographer guy" and plus my wife won't be scared of it so I can finally get some APS-C level IQ photos of me with my kids.

The icing on the cake was seeing in this thread that the 27mm is only $200 at B&H. Just ordered it. That made this kit even sweeter for me!! I think the 27mm is generally backordered, even Amazon has a delay on theirs.

And I can't wait to get a taste of the Foveon sensor's IQ and Fuji lenses. Will probably try to buy one other prime to really give Fuji a shot. Who knows, I may just get addicted!
