Nikkor 28-200mm f 3.5-5.6 G ED IF on a D7100
For ten years I have used my D70 mainly with a Nikkor 28-200mm f 3.5-5.6 G ED IF and I have been happy with the combination. My D70 no longer works properly and I am ready to upgrade. I thought I would simply buy a D7100 and use the same Nikkor 28-200 lens. After researching I am now concerned that lens is not good enough on a D7100 or even the D7000. I simply can't afford a new comparable lens of that range for a D7000 or D7100. Would it be best to use that lens on D7100 or D7000 body or sell that lens and buy a D5300 with the 18-140mm kit lens? My other option seems to be to buy a bridge camera like the FZ200 or RX10 since I will not be able to invest much money in lenses in the future. Thanks in advance for your opinions.
