the same but the other color channels different then instead of four different tones you're only going to see one that was the average of the four, so you're inevitably going to lose some subtle color variations that the present Merrill sensor can see.

I created this chart as an example of what I mean:

four unique colors get averaged into one if the blue channel is the same

You see how you have the components listed at R/G/B?

There's a reason why Sigma lists the layers as Top/Middle/Bottom in the tech specs.

Want to know why they list them that way? Come a little closer, it's a secret...
