The article is on the ICC site. ICC probably knows more about color than anyone here

As far as I remember the consensus of the previous discussion was that cameras estimate all possible colours and thus cameras have no gamut per se. A "gamut" will be dependent on the raw data interpretation methodology. The above article, for example, talks about the linearisation of the raw data through colour matrices.
