indeed, it could also suggest how much effort is required to get this lens spec out of such a relatively small package. Lots of elements could have a negative effect on internal reflections, copy variation and wear-and-tear (more moving elements for IF/AS/zoom).

IMHO compared to the RX100 the lens should be the big selling point, IF it delivers on optical quality. I think I would prefer a current 20 MP 1 inch Sony sensor over a 1.5 inch 13 MP Canon sensor, but the lens is more important.
