Jim -

If you are looking to pop one lens on your camera and then head out for a day of shooting, then obviously the 23.  It's sharp and the bokeh is wonderful.  It gets you to nearly to that zen X100s kind of  feeling.

But if you like shooting with the other lenses you mention and want a new perspective, clearly the 14.  I love wides and the X 14 is about as good as I've used in terms of edge to edge sharpness.  You won't miss a bigger aperture at that focal length.  I certainly never do.

As for the 10-24 suggestion, it's going to be a beast (relatively speaking) and to me that defeats the entire point of the X system.

I felt guilty for the redundancy of having the 23 in my kit and so I sold it off.  Occasionally I miss it but in reality, not enough to prompt me to go back to it.  I will NEVER sell my 14.

Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Rey
