The Df is better than the d600/d610 at high ISO. Just a fact. You can quantify, but it's true. At 6400 it's significant, and 12,800 they are leagues apart. I really haven't seen any misinformation..perhaps different opinions and preference.

It's plainly visible if you've seen the output side by side.

But issue here is more about DR and color than noise. My D800 holds up fairly well to 3200 and even 6400 can be used with work. The D610 is in the same ballpark, perhaps doing a bit better with color while the D800 can hold a bit better detail.

The Df pops out silky smooth and nicely balanced files even above 6400. And it does this with MUCH less fuss than the other cameras (save the D4 of course). Solid looking ISO 12800 8x10 prints are easy with the Df.

The Df is my low-light low profile camera. My D800 is a beast. Between both I have a solid arsenal of bodies. Decide on how you'll shoot and go from there. These are ALL amazing cameras.

I'm not being sarcastic.  I seriously would like to see a nice image at 12,800
