I actually like this shot, thank you for posting it. However other than the photo being of a rattlesnake there are no real similarities between the OP snake photo and this one. Completely different lighting conditions, and yours is B&W. I also wonder why people hide exif data in their post.

I would like to see the color version. of this shot.

considiring it's taken with a full manual lens i don't have the full EXIF data.

Aperture is selected on the lens and is not transferred to the camera.

I will try to find the original raw file for you.
