D7100 - "permanently on" wireless remote?

Hello all --

I've recently purchased a D7100 and a couple of Sigma lenses after many years of Pentax and Sony experience.  I've read (OK, carefully skimmed) the manual as I have been photographing my Sony gear for auction and been using the wireless remote / tripod / mirror lock-up option for clean product shots.

I'm finding that although I can access the Remote Control Module (ML-L3) through the "i" button on the back of the camera, and set it to 'Remote mirror-up', the camera invariably resets the Remote Control Mode to OFF a few seconds, and I have to do it all over again for the next shot.  As much of my work involves landscape photography, this will be something of an issue for extended field work if I cannot permanently enable the wireless remote.

Suggestions from more seasoned D7100 users will be greatly appreciated ...

Best,

Darrell
