The eagle and the rattler have very little post processing after the conversion of the raw files in DPP to TIFFs. Mainly a small degree of low level contrast boost.

The owl required more work due to its position in a deeply shaded hollow of a tree with only indirect dappled open sky for lighting. Luminance levels needed adjustment, as well as various degrees of low, medium and high level contrast boost to offset the up to 4 pixel acuity loss from camera movement at the slow shutter speed. Paraphrasing Ansel Adams, the original "SOOC" is only the score. What's more important is its presentation by the conductor with an orchestra. The owl I hope is such a presentation.
