Downscaled 4k is going to be some pretty special 1080p video from a detail standpoint. The 8-bit 4:2:0 4k recorded to sd cards should downscale to 10-bit 4:2:2, in a compressed and easily editable file.

1080p at 96fps sounds awesome at this price point - the rumored $2k.

My only gripe with the GH2/3 has been the lack of DR, lots of banding in the skies and such. Using Blackmagic and the 5d3 raw this isn't an issue.

That said, I'm preordering the GH4 as I think it will be less of an issue. I'd like something more user friendly than Blackmagic with smaller files than 5d3 raw for commercials. Hopefully this is it.
