D3300 AF during video question
A quick query to the collective brain here:
I had the chance to look at the D3300 in person yesterday. During my evaluation, I put the camera into LiveView and started video recording. I noted that no AF operation occurs unless you press the shutter button, and then it's only a one-shot AF operation. No focus tracking.
My question is, "is there a setup that allows the D3300 to continuously focus during video recording?" The Canon SL1 can do this, as can the low-end Sony model, so I was hopeful the new Nikon entry offering would be competitive in this feature.
As for the rest of the camera, I cannot quite justify the upgrade from the D3100 that's already in my drawer. 24MP with no AA is nice for sure, just need a little more nudge like better video capability with AF.
