Birding with a 500mm F4 or 600mm F4

I totally agree that the full frame dslr is much better in low light at high iso's than any of the cropped framed cameras.  I also have a d4 with a d7100 as a second camera using both with the Nikon 500mm f1.4 vr lens and find myself here in cloudy and showery Oregon using the d4 about 80% of the time.  I had a 600 and due to the weight, sold it and got a 500 so that I could walk into my wildlife areas, the 600 just got to be too much weight with my camera and tripod.
