Shootig birds hand held with or without stabilisation?

The benefit with image stabilisation when shooting hand held can be several EV with relatively long exposure, 1/100 - 1/200s for long lenses like 400-500mm. When the exposure become shorter the benefit will reduce.

Your opinion? On which shutter speed is the benefit with stabilisation zero whith an average shaky (or steady) hand?
