Watch photography / Things to use to hold watches in place?

Hello all,

I'm trying to figure out how they photographed those stainless steel/reflective watches on Fossil website.

From the look of it, most of the watches were photographed in a shooting tent of some sort, as apparent in this watch image gallery.

What I couldn't figure out is how they positioned the watch in place for photography.  Did they use a clamp on back of the watch?  Is there a special tool/holder just for photographing watches or positioning them in a exact position?

And while shooting the watch bands, how do they keep the watch in such perfect position?  Was it shot from top down?  If the position of the lighting has to be changed for each individual look, that would waste a lot of time.

Has anyone had experience photographing this kind of shots?  Your opinion is greatly appreciated.
