Yeah, there's something screwy going on here at the moment. I think it's unlikely that cormorants are being hooked and injured by the fishers on the jetty. I know that does happen sometimes, but I haven't seen it occur, so I don't think it happens regularly. There also weren't any signs of line or hooks on the dead birds. I'm guessing perhaps a decline in fish stocks or a disease of some sort. There were a lot of dead cormorants in a pretty small area.
