If you're serious about photography, you forget the wide adapter kludges and instead buy the proper lens. The image quality difference is very significant, especially is there is sun anywhere near the frame.

One interesting option might be a full frame camera with Sigma's old 12-24mm lens. It's not the greatest lens in the world, but relativelty inexpensive and extremely wide if needed and certainly a better choise than any conversion lenses.
