It can't be a fake housing, or housing a fake pentaprism, there's a real viewfinder in there. If you mean it's a housing made to look angular like a manual focus SLR, fine. But pentaprism housings are not angular on all SLRs either, and if you have a housing at all it's going to have some kind of shape and it may as well match the design of the rest of the camera.

By the way if you have an EVF in the main body on the left, is that a fake rangefinder or a fake E300?

Actually, yes, it IS a fake rangefinder since THEY use prisms as well as using simple geometry to find the distance when focusing.

If you believe any EVF is a fake something, it's getting well up the ridiculous scale. The EVF assembly needs only electronic linkage so it could be anywhere, except it would be a fairly poor usability choice to put it at the bottom pointing back, pointing up, down or pointing to the front & obscuring the lens.
