The days where "More MP is better" is considered to be true are long gone. The question is whether the 24MP are of the same quality as current 16MP ones. If noise and sharpness are worse, there won't be an advantage over the 16.

Detail and sharpness are already very high in current 16MP X cameras, and there are reports from people who have printed big with those 16MP files.

The only area where I'd like to see improvements is dynamic range where the Fujis are only "good average".
