Nikon 70-200 Vr 2.8(older version) vs Nikon 70-200 F4
Jan 30, 2014

So i am planning on buying a new telephoto. i realized that the older 70-200 Vr (not vrII) used, is around the same price range as the 70-200 f4. Apart from the extra stops of light that the 70-200 2.8 gives, i am looking for comparisons of several things

1. Focus Speed. Which one offers faster autofocus, and is the speed a huge difference?

2. Image Quality. Both are amazing lenses, but are the image qualities almost alike?

3. How different does bokeh at 2.8 differ from f4, major bokeh difference?

4. Lastly, i was also considering old 80-200 with the zoom ring. Is it comparable to the other 2? if so, i would also appreciate a comparison of the focus speed and image quality to the other 2 lenses. Any help is greatly appreciated.
