why did they put that same old sensor in it, they really should have developed an update 21 or 24mp sensor, I wouldn't buy an X-T1 because the sensor is likely to be replaced with in a year.

This is no different to the Nikon DF using the same sensor as the D4, the D4 sensor isn't great and caused many Nikon users to switch over to Canon

Why do you want more MP? Do you crop by 200% regularly?

See this thread below. An x100s shot ( same 16mp sensor ) was printed to a size of 80 feet /24metres.

It covered the side of a museum.

Here: http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/52837127

It was "only" 16mp.

Do you just think that a big number is better than a smaller number?

Why do you think more MP is better? Or maybe you just don't know what you are talking about?

Actually, this was a pretty rude response. Perhaps you should check yourself.

24MP would allow some additional cropping/frame adjustment for when you are printing 20x30 or larger, which is what I do for landscape prints. It would also provide a finer level of detail for larger prints without cropping.

You can't compare an 80 foot banner viewed from hundreds of feet away to a landscape print hanging on a wall two feet in front of you. It's all about use case.

I do not think that the reply was somehow rude. Yes, it sound a little bit angry, but in my opinion justified. Yes, majority of the unhappy "with just 16Mp" camera users do not realize how going to, for example to 24 Mp (and we are talking about the APS-C sensors) triggers a lot of headaches. Just go to the Pentax forum to find out how many unhappy K-3 owners are there. Many of them returned back to the previous, 16 Mp models. It is not just higher image noise. All other aspects, like the camera movement, AF, etc. are far more troubled. So, whoever needs more than 16 Mp, he/she should look for a 24 Mp FF camera like the Sony A7. And thanks god that Fuji hasn't increased the density of its sensor.
