why did they put that same old sensor in it, they really should have developed an update 21 or 24mp sensor, I wouldn't buy an X-T1 because the sensor is likely to be replaced with in a year.

This is no different to the Nikon DF using the same sensor as the D4, the D4 sensor isn't great and caused many Nikon users to switch over to Canon

Why do you want more MP? Do you crop by 200% regularly?

See this thread below. An x100s shot ( same 16mp sensor ) was printed to a size of 80 feet /24metres.

It covered the side of a museum.

Here: http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/52837127

It was "only" 16mp.

Do you just think that a big number is better than a smaller number?

Why do you think more MP is better? Or maybe you just don't know what you are talking about?

Actually, this was a pretty rude response. Perhaps you should check yourself.

24MP would allow some additional cropping/frame adjustment for when you are printing 20x30 or larger, which is what I do for landscape prints. It would also provide a finer level of detail for larger prints without cropping.

You can't compare an 80 foot banner viewed from hundreds of feet away to a landscape print hanging on a wall two feet in front of you. It's all about use case.

Well the Op started it by posting a silly thread.  First off, the D4 sensor is generally acclaimed by the industry as being excellent and many, many, many pros are very happy with it.   Saying silly things about the D4 is simply inflammatory nonsense and deserves to be treated as such.

Secondly, it is self evident that for Fuji the 16mp sensor is all that there is right now, and Fuji are concentrating on body design and lens releases.  And quite right too.  Complaining about the MP is pretty lame.  It is what it is.

If the OP attempted to explain why he wants more MP rather than saying dumb things about the D4 then it would make more sense.

Anyway, wouldn't you be better off shooting landscapes with an A7R?
