Focusing a fully manual Samyang 14mm on a body with no live view
6 months ago

Hi everyone,
I've got my eye on the Samyang 14MM UWA for my Canon 5D Mk1 for shooting landscapes. As its a Mk1 it has no live view and as its a Samyang its fully manual and has no chip or focus confirmation.
I assume that I'll be able to keep everything in a landscape in focus by specifying a suitably small aperture and choosing a sensible shutter speed and ISO to make a good exposure ? Or is there some sort of massive caveat I should be aware of (apart from the moustache distortion) e.g. using the lens without Live View is simply not an option ?

Many thanks in advance for your answers !
