No kidding.  The galleries will still be full of wonderful meaningful prints.  People will still shot around to find the best person to photograph their wedding, Bar Mitzvah, etc.  If the OP finds a camera that allows him to take all the images he fells that are important to his life - it does not send any photographer into poverty - it means he is happy with his ability.  The fine arts photographers exhibiting in galleries will still be exhibiting in galleries, the working pros working weddings and Bar Mitzvahs, etc. will still be doing so.
