Those are really nice items. To the $200 price tag add the cost of a 145 mm filter. Kaching! It allows use of round filters. The ND8 would be nice for long exposures.

Here's a recent DIY version. A filter gell holder allows you to use a GND filter the way it should be used, with a slidng and rotating graduation line. These 165 mm filters sell for $75 (on sale) to $160 each, which may be less than a 145 mm round optical glass filter in a threaded ring. There is a link to the filters in a post within the thread.
