I would rather be asking for equivalent ISO of different sensor sizes. Equivalent f-stop is just for DOF equivalence.

Your Canon A630 is better than most of present day sensors that are small. They conceal a little better the noise with software.

For static subjects the newer cameras with image stabilization will give you better results than your old camera.

If you want a real increase of low light performance look no lower than MFT. A little better would be the sensors of cameras that use 1" sensors (Sony RX100 or Nikon 1).
