Two years ago, when the E-M5 was new, the whole forum cooperated in compiling a list firmware bugs that was dutifully reported to Olympus.

Do you know what has happened since then?

Two years ago, when the E-M5 was new, it was also reported to Olympus that one lens, the Panasonic 20/1.7, caused banding when used with it.

Yes, Panasonic could not fix the problem.

They evidently could as could Olympus. See here:

Neither of them did fix it on the E-M5, E-PM2, E-PL5, E-P5, and GH3 however.

Maybe the problem was with both the software and hardware, the EM1 uses a different sensor.
