first shots with new Sigma 10-20

I use a Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 a lot (great lens) and also have a Pentax 16-45 which I use for the wide end. I had a hankering for something wider so just bought a Sigma 10-20 f/4-f/5.6 on the basis that a 10-20 and 28-75 pair would cover most situations and I could sell the 16-45.

I took the 10-20 for a walk this morning around the centre of Sheffield and really like the UWA perspective... the combination of getting close to the subject and keeping an extensive background is great. Here are some of the results: c/c welcome.

(Incidentally I was surprised to see from some 'brick wall' tests that the Sigma is considerably sharper than the Pentax lens in the overlapping FL region.  By f/8 there is not much between them, but at f/5.6 the Sigma is significantly sharper than the Pentax at 20mm, and at 16mm the difference in favour of the Sigma is embarrassing... so the 16-45 is going on ebay).

Best wishes
