Fuji JPEG is better than RAW out of the camera.

This recent shot by my 100Xs makes me believe that, as a practical matter, its JPEG engine turns out better shots, out of the camera, than RAW.

The ooc RAW was flat and lifeless and would need a bit of tweaking to match the JPEG.  So it seems that, unless you need backup for marginal conditions or error correction, RAW is unnecessary with this camera.

PS 50% Smart Sharpening plus 1 reduction sharpening. No other adjustments.

Last week, la dolce vita, four days out of Panama, sailing north, off  Baja California:  my indispensable Han Kjobenhavn shades.
