Copyright for different versions of the same photograph

From a legal standpoint, is it possible to assign different copyright status to different versions of the same photograph? For example:

- Assigning one license (say, Creative Commons) to a lower resolution version and a different license for the full resolution version

- Assigning different licenses to different versions with minor modification (color, sharpness, etc)

Thanks!
