It's good to be hearing your view again. I noticed that when I went from k10D to K5 the color recipe was quite different. I look back at my K10 images and can see that they were more saturated and sometimes more 'unnatural' than what you might like. I think the white balance was never as neutral as it is on K7 forward. Still, I got used to that and would take photos that would look colorful, especially images taken in good sunlight. the K10 was more difficult to use in low light compared to the K7.
