XZ-1 How To Show Focal Length

I see where the camera shows shutter speed, aperture, exposure comp and iso data, but how can I see at what focal length the camera is set?  I would like to set a constant 35mm to see how I would like using the camera without the benefit of the zoom capability.  I will be taking a vacation to Italy this summer and have wondered about getting a Fuji X100 instead of using the XZ-1 for the possible improved ability to take photos inside churches etc., but am hesitant not knowing how I will miss having the 4x.  It seems that most of the time I have the XZ-1 set at 28mm so the 35mm should not be THAT big of a change, but I do use the zoom at times.  Just wondered if there is a way I could simulate the X100 35mm to experiment.
