Sony Alpha 7 - A Good Choice For Slide Digitization?

I just read the recent Sony Alpha 7 review. I see several things that suggest to me that it might be a good choice for me as a digital camera that I can use to digitize 35 mm, mostly Kodachrome 25 slides shot with my Olympus OM-1 and OM-4 film cameras.

I have a 50 mm macro lens for the OM system. Would this make a good lens for slide copying?

I also do a lot of wildflower photography and have been struggling to get reproducible results with my Canon A590 using the manual focus feature.

Thanks for any insights.

John
