Why does burst FPS drop with increasing ISO?

Is there a reason why increasing ISO decreases the burst FPS in K-30 and K-5 II (perhaps for other models as well)?

Note that lens and images correction options have been disabled since these are known to incur additional processing time to shots. Is such a scenario, I can get about the 7FPS when shooting at ISO100 but it noticeably goes down to about 3-4FPS when increasing ISO to 6400 and above.

I don't notice this behavior with my Canon and Sony bodies.
